ZooRacing Apex 1:10 FWD TC Body

Germany’s ZooRacing has introduced a new 1:10 FWD Touring Car body which they are calling the Apex.  A whole new designed it delivers a more neutral and easy to drive handling for most modern tracks and grip levels.  Designed with attention to the details, the Apex features a sleeker, more aerodynamic structured roofline that optimises airflow to the larger rear wing, resulting in higher top speeds and enhanced stability on the track. The front end exudes modernity and sophistication, while the closer-fitting wheel arches minimise turbulence at the rear, enabling smoother cornering and improved overall handling.  With a longer rear section, the Apex offers unparalleled stability, allowing drivers to navigate tight corners with precision and confidence. Its increased wheelbase aligns seamlessly with current touring car chassis designs, ensuring optimal performance and compatibility. The Apex design also offers the option to move the body more forward from the neutral position to increase front grip, if needed.  While the Gorilla MAX was made for super sharp and agile cornering, the Apex loves big tracks, where neutral handling and maximum stability is needed. Because the improved aerodynamic efficiency the Apex flows faster through the corners, without losing speed, what is important for most low powered FWD racing classes.  The Apex 190mm FWD body shell comes moulded from high-quality 0.5mm and 0.7mm polycarbonate and uses ZooRacing‘s ZOOlite moulding process. Part of the package are window masks in a new more flexible and stickier quality, that will ensure window frames of pro quality. The body package is topped of by high-quality wing mounting hardware and a highly detailed sticker sheet including grill, head and tail lights.

Xray X4 Lightweight Alu Steering Hubs

Xray has added these Lightweight Alu Steering Hubs to its optional parts list for their X4 Electric Touring Car platform. CNC-machined from premium lightweight T6 aluminium, their ultra-strong construction provides very long life and durability in even the most extreme racing conditions.  A direct replacement for the standard composite hubs, using the steering blocks in an aluminium material reduces flex, and improves consistency, and will free up the car, mainly for high grip conditions, and especially in spec racing classes.  The hubs allow full adjustability of the axle height to adapt the car to every condition.  The X4’s carbon front steering plates and rear ARS plates are easily mounted depending on the hub’s location.  The design of the hub is universal with the same part used at all four corners with corresponding extensions.  Due to its lower height compared to kit composite hubs, 2.0mm additional shimming must be used to achieve the same upper arm height above the hub.
